Numberless Dots Invitation
The assignment was to design singage and an invitation for a fake lecture series/event that was inspired by an an article given to us by our teacher. I was given Stephen Ruston’s article, the Little Dipper, which was published in Dot Dot Dot magazine. I came to the conclusion that the article was about the idea of infinite possibilities, so I decided to entitle my event Numberless Dots. I created the circle shapes on the poster by folding pieces of paper with dots of black paint– to get infinitely different shapes. The invitation would ask the attendants to draw a circle in the space provide and bring it to the event– stressing the attendants to think infinitely.
